Franklin woman facing endangerment, drug charges

A Franklin woman is facing charges for leaving three young girls home alone with drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view.

Franklin state police said in a criminal complaint that Mindy Snyder, 36, left her three young daughters unattended Sunday at a house in Sandycreek Township where there was drug paraphernalia and a baggie of methamphetamine on the dresser in Snyder’s room.

Police responded to the residence after receiving a call from one of the girls’ relatives who was face timing with them and noticed the drug paraphernalia in view in the video, the complaint said.

Police spoke with the girls and their relative who had called police, according to the complaint.

One of the girls took the responding trooper upstairs and showed him where the drugs and paraphernalia were located on the dresser, police said.

When Snyder arrived home she was told by police the three girls were going to be removed from the home until further notice and placed with relatives, police said. Children and Youth Services was also contacted, according to police.

Snyder was charged with three misdemeanor counts each of recklessly endangering another person and endangering the welfare of children-parent/guardian/other commits offense, two misdemeanor counts of use/possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance.
