Man facing felony charges in handgun theft

From staff reports

An Oil City man is facing multiple felony charges for allegedly stealing a handgun from his brother.

During the course of an investigation into the theft of a Glock .45 caliber pistol, Oil City police, in addition to probation and parole officers, discovered 27-year-old Jacob Clark to be in possession of the weapon.

Clark admitted stealing the gun from his brother and was also found to be operating a marijuana grow, police said.

Clark was taken into custody and arraigned before district judge Andrew Fish Tuesday on felony counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property and misdemeanor counts of deliver/intent to deliver drug paraphernalia and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was placed in the Venango County jail on $25,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing has been tentatively scheduled for Feb. 1 in Central Court.
