No one hurt after car crashes into OC home

Residents gathered at about 8 p.m. Tuesday at West Front and Orange streets in Oil City after a car crashed into the home at 418 West Front. Oil City police officer William McDevitt said there were no injuries to anyone in the vehicle or home, adding that there were two people in both the car and home. He said the crash occurred when the brakes failed and the driver was unable to stop the car. McDevitt also said it appeared the vehicle tried to make a right turn onto West Front Street but hit a pole. There was moderate damage to the house and the car was totaled, McDevitt said. Oil City firefighters and Community Ambulance Service also responded to the scene. (Contributed photo)
