OC man facing corruption, unlawful contact charges

An Oil City man is facing charges in connection with an incident involving a 16-year-old girl.

Sugarcreek Borough police said they received a call at about 9:30 a.m. Monday from Children and Youth Services personnel who said a 16-year-old girl had run away from home in the middle the night Sunday.

The girl’s mother told police she had received a call that her daughter was not in school and two children in the house said a man, later identified as Arthur Rosenburgh, 21, had come to the house in the middle of the night and sneaked in to meet the girl, police said.

Sugarcreek police and Oil City police went to Rosenburgh’s house on Warren Street in Oil City where they located the girl in his bedroom, according to police.

Rosenburgh was charged with felony counts of corruption of minors and unlawful contact with minors-sexual offenses.

He was arraigned Monday, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled May 29 in Venango County Central Court.
