Substance use training offered to first responders

From staff reports

Training sessions have been planned for first responders to provide tools and resources designed to help them better respond to people with substance use concerns.

All attendees will be paid $75 for completing the four-hour training. The payments will apply for attendees who complete the registration survey, pre-test, and post-test.

Trainings will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. this Tuesday and from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the Seneca fire hall on Route 257.

The Strategies to Coordinate Overdose Prevention Efforts statewide project, offered by the University of Pittsburgh program evaluation and research unit will provide the training.
