10th Annual Nature Art Showcase

Visitors to the 10th Annual Nature Art Showcase pack the Barrow-Civic Theatre on Friday evening.

Wings, feathers and flight took center stage Friday as the 10th annual Nature Art Showcase opened with a well-attended reception at the Barrow-Civic Theatre, featuring this year’s theme, “On the Wing.” The exhibit includes paintings, sculpture and mixed-media works inspired by flight and wildlife, with artists like past People’s Choice winner Frank Bouch and Warren resident Jesse Wolfgang sharing deeply personal and creative pieces. Organizer Marilyn Black highlighted standout works such as Pleasantville artist Lori Ditrich’s painted ostrich eggs using traditional Ukrainian techniques. Sponsored by the Council on Greenways and Trails and Penn Soil RC&D, the showcase features 62 Pennsylvania artists from nine counties and continues today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during Franklin on Ice.
