Church offers program on prenatal health, pregnancy

From staff reports

The Seneca Seventh-day Adventist Church will host a free event, open to the community, to provide information about prenatal health and pregnancy.

The program will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Oil City Library. It will feature Dr. Leonard Ferreira as the speaker.

Ferreira has more than 35 years of experience in the OBGYN field.

“He’s especially aware of the unique medical challenges mothers face and has plenty of advice on how to keep both the mother and infant healthy,” said Andrew Abbott, pastor of the Seneca church.

Ferreira will share practical pointers that can enhance the health of any individual, Abbott said.

As part of the program, a light meal featuring simple and nutritious recipes will be provided.

“These recipes are designed to show how healthy cooking can be easy, rewarding and tasty,” Abbott said.
