Police officer’s last call

Officers from all of Clarion County’s local police departments, CUP public safety, the state police and the Clarion fire department escorted former Clarion Borough Police Officer Nick Trombetta to his final resting place Aug. 4 along Main Street in Clarion. Trombetta spent 22 years with the Clarion Borough police force. The Clarion County 9-1-1 Center reported Trombetta answered his last dispatch at 12:25 p.m. and then advised he was released from further duty. Trombetta, 63, of Shippenville, passed away surrounded by family and friends at his home, Monday, July 31, 2017, after battling cancer for a short time. (By Brett R. Whitling)
