Venango sheriff’s office arrests 4 on warrants

Deputies from the Venango County sheriff’s office have arrested four people this month on warrants.

Benjamin Bakker was arrested on Route 157 in Cranberry Township on Feb. 1 on a warrant for failure to appear for court on charges of burglary and possession of a firearm.

Cody Wheeler was arrested Feb. 1 on Taylor Street in Franklin on warrants for absconding probation supervision and child support.

The sheriff’s office said Wheeler tried to flee out the back door of a residence and was physically taken into custody by deputies.

Zachariah Wilt was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for failure to pay child support.

Wilt was discovered hiding in the basement of a residence on West Sixth Street in Oil City and was taken into custody without incident, the sheriff’s office said.

Kimberly Armagost was taken into custody Wednesday on New Street in Franklin on a warrant for absconding probation supervision.

All four were lodged in the Venango County jail.
