Franklin man faces charges after domestic incident

An Franklin man is facing several charges following a domestic incident Thursday at a Grant Street residence.

Franklin police said they responded to a call at about 3:20 p.m. and conducted a welfare check on a woman who claimed to have been the victim of the assault.

Officers interviewed the woman and said they discovered and observed evidence of injuries to her. Police also said there were two minors present at the residence.

Police identified Richard Lee Perrine as the suspect, and he had left the residence by the time officers arrived. Police then made contact with him a short time later and took him into custody.

Perrine was arraigned before district judge Patrick Lowrey on two counts of simple assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of children, and single counts of unlawful restraint-serious bodily injury, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

Perrine was denied bail by Lowrey and then placed in the Venango County jail.

A preliminary hearing has been tentatively scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Central Court.
