Webelos Scout Trenan Smith (from left) was the winner of the Cub Scout Pack 37 Pinewood Derby. Smith, grandson of Dennis and Jackie Cralley of Franklin, beat out 45 cars to take the top prize at the event, which was held Jan. 29 at the Sandycreek Volunteer Fire Department hall. Second place went to Webelos Scout Kyel Harry, son of Todd and Jill Harry of Reno. Wolf Scout Jordan Stumpf, son of Dan and Beth Stumpf of Franklin, earned third place. All three, along with fourth and fifth place finishers, Jackson Wilson and Andrew Young, qualified to compete in the Colonel Drake District Pinewood Derby March 19 at the Cranberry Mall.
