Registrations being accepted for fatherhood program

Registrations are being accepted for the Venango Fatherhood Initiative’s “24/7 Dad” program.

This series of group meetings for fathers and families begins Monday, March 26, and will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays at the Carone Center, 29 Pearl Ave., Oil City.

Groups will meet for eight weeks. There is no enrollment fee and a light meal will be served.

Topics to be discussed include effective and appropriate discipline, how to build and maintain healthy family relationships, how to communicate effectively, family roles and the importance of involved and responsible fathers.

There will be separate groups for women and children.
