Route 208 project expected to begin

From staff reports

Work to improve nearly 1 mile of Route 208 in Grove City and Pine Township will begin April 15, weather permitting, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The project will include milling, base repairs, resurfacing and new curb ramps on Route 208 – from Lake Drive in Pine Township to Route 58 (West Main Street) in Grove City – that will be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Work will also include installation of a precast reinforced concrete box culvert to carry Route 208 over a tributary of Barmore Run near Hemlock Trail in Pine Township.

Work on the box culvert is expected to be complete by May 29. The anticipated completion date for paving is June 14.

No detour is anticipated.
