2 badly hurt in Cornplanter crash

Two people were badly injured and flown to hospitals following a motorcycle crash Friday night in Cornplanter Township.

Franklin state police said Issac Seniour, 26, of Oil City, was driving a Yamaha motorcycle on Route 8 near Kane Run Road at about 10:40 p.m. Friday when the vehicle went off the road and struck and completely broke off a utility pole.

The motorcycle then struck two mailbox posts and two decorative posts, police said.

Police said that during the crash “the motorcycle broke up into numerous pieces.”

Seniour was taken by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with severe injuries, police said.

Marci Cirell, 34, of Franklin, a passenger on the motorcycle, was also severely injured and taken by helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie, police said.

Route 8 in the area of the crash was closed for several hours following the crash, police said.
