2 held for court in OC home invasion incident

Two men facing charges in connection with a home invasion and shooting in April at a Cornplanter Avenue residence in Oil City were held for court Wednesday in Venango County Central Court.

Adrian I. Wise, 18, of Oil City, and Kelletti Arnold, 24, of Meadville, are facing charges accusing them of being the main aggressors in the April 25 incident.

Criminal complaints filed in the case say Wise, Arnold and Donn Fitzgerald, 19, of Franklin, traveled to the residence with some other individuals with the intent of robbing the homeowner of marijuana.

Wise, according to the complaints, shot the homeowner when he fought to keep the men out of the residence. Oil City police said the man was taken to UPMC Hamot in Erie with non-life-threatening injuries and released later that day.

The complaint said Wise admitted to police that he, Arnold and Fitzgerald were the main perpetrators in the incident and that he shot the homeowner.

Wise will now face further court proceedings on a charge of criminal attempt-murder of the first degree, felony counts of criminal attempt-burglary-overnight accommodations person present, criminal conspiracy engaging- burglary-overnight accommodations person present, aggravated assault-attempts to cause serious bodily injury or causes serious bodily injury with extreme indifference, criminal trespass and aggravated assault-attempts to cause or causes bodily injury with a deadly weapon.

He also faces misdemeanor counts of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Arnold faces further court action for felony counts of criminal conspiracy engaging-robbery-inflict serious bodily injury, robbery-inflict serious bodily injury, burglary-overnight accommodations person present and criminal trespass-break into structure.

Fitzgerald was previously held for court on felony counts of burglary-overnight accommodations person present, criminal conspiracy engaging-burglary-overnight accommodations person present bodily injury crime and criminal trespass-break into structure.

All three men remain lodged in the Venango County jail.
