Franklin schedules Fourth of July festivities

Fourth of July festivities in Franklin are scheduled to begin Sunday.

A patriotic community worship service hosted by the Franklin Ministerium will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in Bandstand Park.

A pet show and games are scheduled at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the park.  Registration is at 6 p.m.

A bicycle rodeo for ages 5 to 12 years old will be held at 6 p.m. in at Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

The Taste of Talent kick-off concert will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Bandstand Park..

The Silver Cornet Band Concert featuring Mostly Marches will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

A penny carnival will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 30, in Fountain Park.

Various sales will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, June 30, in downtown Franklin.  Various musical performances are scheduled for Friday: Phil Keaggy will perform at the Barrow-Civic
Theatre; Kevin Downy and Brianna Steves will perform at Benjamin’s Restaurant patio and Max Schang will perform on the Bella Cucina deck.

Events on Saturday, July 1, begin with the farmers market from 8 a.m. to noon at the 12th Street Island.

Various sales are scheduled Saturday in downtown Franklin.

The parade will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 1.  The parade route will be on Liberty Street from 13th Street to Washington Crossing.  The PA Army National Guard Band – 28th Infantry Division will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday after the parade.

The Air National Guard Band of NE 553rd Air Force will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 2, in Bandstand Park.

Nightlife featuring Rachael Mellor will perform at 7 p.m. Monday, July 3, in Bandstand Park.

Lawyers, Guns & Money will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, in Riverfront Park.  Fireworks will be held at dusk at Riverfront Park.

A Taste of Talent concert will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, in Bandstand Park.

The Silver Cornet Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 6, in Bandstand Park.
