Man facing charges for Emlenton burglaries

An Emlenton man is facing charges for breaking into and vandalizing a residence and churches in Emlenton in July.

Emlenton Borough police said in a criminal complaint that officers spoke last month with Patrick Davis, 24, in the presence of his grandfather, and Davis admitted entering a residence on Hill Street with a teenage boy and said he only entered and looked around, claiming the teen busted in the door.

Davis told police the teen also told him to throw something through the windows, then the teen busted out the windows of the house, according to the complaint.

When police interviewed the teen, he said both he and Davis were involved in entering the residence and breaking the windows but they didn’t take anything from the residence, the complaint said.

Davis said he and the boy also had entered the former St. John’s Reformed Church and once inside, the teen threw things at the walls and windows and broke plates and vases, the complaint said.

Davis also said he and the boy entered the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on Hill Street and they both sprayed fire extinguishers in the church, the complaint said.

Davis has been charged with two felony counts of burglary and criminal trespass-enter structure and two counts of criminal mischief.
