Pet of the Day 6/19/20

Although he is an older gent, Manny is a gentle giant. Here is what his current foster has to say: He loves exploring, being pet, and quiet nooks. He may be shy at first but will open up to you and be good company. If you have the patience, he can be your best friend. He loves to hang out and show his loving, soft side. He is looking for somebody to love and give him a forever home!

Good with other cats: I have an older female cat and they have gotten along since day one.

Manny has been a very good cat! In the beginning he would hide all the time and was very scared. I had to initiate the social time. He loved to be pet. After a while he would come out very cautiously. Running at any quick movement or loud noises. He is now a second floor cat as I moved the litter box across the hall to the bathroom where I keep my cat Missy’s litter box. He does not come down to the first floor. He readily comes out and sees me when I go in the room and show my face or will not run if he is already out. Yesterday, he even came out when my husband, Joe, was in the room and spent some time hanging out. This was the first time for him. Progress! He comes into my bedroom down the hall most mornings to let me know it is time for breakfast or will visit me there occasionally. He placed his paw on my fingers the other night to let me know he was there. He is afraid of storms and loud noises, but has progressively gotten better and does not run and hide as much. While he does not like to be held for long periods of time; he will hang out beside me, let me pet him, and pick him up. I have so enjoyed him. He is a very sweet cat! ”
