Transportation hub plans to be displayed March 28

From staff reports

Venango County and PennDOT will display plans and architectural renderings for the construction of the county’s new multimodal transit facility from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the PennDOT district office on Elm Street in Oil City.

The new facility will be located at the intersection of Elm and Duncomb streets in Oil City in the location where the former city parking ramp is now being demolished.

Construction will include a new building housing the transit authority’s administrative and maintenance staff, maintenance equipment, vehicle storage and a wash bay.

Parking accommodations will also be constructed for transit employees, PennDOT employees, CareerLink employees and the public.

Construction on the project is expected to begin in late 2017 and continue through 2018.

Traffic will be maintained through the duration of construction although normal traffic patterns may be altered.

No formal presentation will be made, but officials from Venango County and PennDOT will be available to answer questions.

The purpose of the display is to introduce the project and to receive public input regarding any questions or concerns with the project.

The display location is accessible to anyone with disabilities.

Anyone with special needs or requiring assistance should contact Michael L. McMullen of PennDOT at (814) 678-7077.
