West Forest student earns Eagle Scout rank

Bryant J. Niederriter

Bryant James Niederriter, son of Eric and Valerie Niederriter of Oil City, has recently celebrated his Eagle Scout Court of Honor and earned his Eagle Scout rank in Tionesta.

Niederriter is a member of Troop 82 of French Creek Council, Colonel Drake District, Boy Scouts of America.

Niederriter is a junior at West Forest High School.

He has been in scouting starting with Cub Scout Pack 82 as a Tiger and continued his journey as a Wolf, Bear and Webelos I and II. As a Cub Scout he earned the Arrow of Light in 2011, the Cub Scouts’ highest rank.

Niederriter crossed over to Troop 82 and has earned 21 Eagle required merit badges and an additional 38 merit badges during his scouting career.

He became a member of the Order of the Arrow in the year 2015 and completed his Brother Hood in 2016. His Eagle project was at AMVETs post 113 which consisted of removing gravel from the large lawn area.

He completed his Eagle Scout Board of Review on June 30, 2016.

Niederriter plans on attending the Jamboree in 2017 at Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.
