FHS to host regional chorus festival

Franklin High School will host the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Region II Chorus Festival on Thursday and Friday, March 24 and 25.

The school will host students from 13 counties who will make up a 160-voice choir.

Region II includes Districts 2 and 3, which are represented by students in Cameron, Crawford, Elk, Erie, McKean, Potter, Warren, Armstrong, Clarion, Forest, Jefferson, Indiana, and Venango counties.

Each district will send its top 80 students to the regional festival.

Caron Daley, director of choral activities at Duquesne University, will serve as the guest conductor.

Two days of rehearsals will culminate with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, in the high school auditorium.

Tickets will be sold for $5 and may be purchased at the door.
