Oil Region Astronomical Society public night slated

The Oil Region Astronomical Society will hold a public night at 7 p.m. Saturday online via Zoom.

The meeting will feature speaker Lou Coban, who is the manager of the University of Pittsburgh’s Allegheny Observatory and president of the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh.

Coban will present the program, “High Altitude Ballooning for Solar Eclipses,” in which he will share the process of studying the 2017 solar eclipse by high altitude balloon.
