Car Care Center to open in Seneca

After standing vacant for more than a decade, the old Grand Rental Station building in Cranberry Township is finding new life as an automotive repair business.

The Complete Car Care Center, owned by Larry Clark of Oil City and Harry Eads of Pleasantville and located at 3268 Route 257 in Seneca, is planning to open May 15 and will offer general auto repair services and four-wheel accessories, according to the owners.

“It’s one of those things, no matter what, you need your car fixed,” Clark said of what prompted them to start their business. “Sometimes you have to wait two, three weeks.”

The building had been vacant since 2012, when car and equipment rental company Grand Rental Station closed. Clark and Eads, who are half brothers, have had the building for about a year.

“We’ve been working on it quite a while, inside and then the outside,” Eads said.

Clark said they used all local contractors to do the renovation work.

The two brothers said they grew up in the local area and then moved South, but then they came back.

“This is our community,” Clark said.

He added that the business will be looking to hire a few automotive technicians to join its staff.
