A team from PennDOT District 1 in northwestern Pennsylvania received the Governor’s Awards for Excellence for their outstanding response to a record-breaking snowstorm in Erie County over Thanksgiving. The storm dumped 3 to 7 feet of snow over several days, requiring around-the-clock efforts from more than 250 workers across state agencies.
