Woman accused of aggravated assault, DUI

A Centerville woman is facing charges of aggravated assault by vehicle and DUI in connection with a multi-vehicle crash in Pinegrove Township in January.

Franklin state police said in a criminal complaint that troopers responded Jan. 19 to a crash on Route 157 in which one of the drivers, Lindsey Sitarz, 39, was found to be obviously under the influence of alcohol.

At least one person was transported to the hospital by Community Ambulance Service following the crash and four vehicles were damaged, including the Dodge Ram that Sitarz was driving, the complaint said.

Sitarz’s blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit, the complaint said.

Sitarz was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI as well as misdemeanor counts of DUI and six summary traffic violations.

She was arraigned Thursday, and her preliminary hearing is scheduled March 13 in Venango County Central Court.
