Something Clever reopens under new ownership

Something Clever, a women’s clothing and gift boutique in Franklin, is celebrating a grand reopening at its new location—the former Feldman Jewelers building—from July 24 to 26, with a ribbon-cutting on July 25. New owners Inde and Bobby Hawkins bought the boutique from founders Niki and Doug Volmrich to keep the beloved shop alive after Feldman’s closed. The new space has been open since May, offering expanded product lines that now include a touch of men’s and kids’ items while maintaining the boutique’s original charm. Longtime manager Lisa Anderson remains on staff, and both the Hawkinses and Volmrichs say they’re thrilled with the transition, calling it bittersweet but full of promise.
