Entries being accepted for Oil Heritage parade

Applications are being accepted for the 40th annual Oil Heritage Festival parade. Returning this year will be clowns, fire trucks, bands, great floats, Zem Zems and more.

This year’s theme is “40 Years of Oil Heritage.” Entries are encouraged to celebrate the region’s history and memories of festivals past.

The parade will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 28. It will start at the corner of Orange and West First streets and end in front of PNC Bank on Seneca Street, just after the judging area.

The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes floats, walking groups, performing groups and a variety of other entries in the parade.
