Barrow’s Covington to step down

Barrow-Civic Theatre Executive Director Zachary Covington will step down from his job in mid-April, according to a post on the theater’s Facebook page by Franklin Civic Operetta Association board Chairman Stephen Teig.

Members of the board, in expressing their “sincere gratitude” to Covington for both his dedication and contributions to the Barrow, “wish him the very best in all his future endeavors.”

Teig, in looking ahead, said the board has “every confidence” in Barrow General Manager Kristy Ference to “help guide us through a smooth transition and to manage daily operations, ensuring that our services and commitments remain uninterrupted.”

In thanking Barrow supporters, Teig said the board believes they are “very important to our future, and we are grateful for your continued support.”
