Catholic Rural Ministry sisters leaving in June for new assignments

Sister Marian Wehler (left) and Sister Tina Geiger, who have teamed up since 2012 to lead the Catholic Rural Ministry program in the Erie Diocese’s Oil City Deanery, have been given new assignments that will return them to their religious communities in June.

Sister Marian Wehler and Sister Tina Geiger, longtime leaders of the Catholic Rural Ministry in the Erie Diocese’s Oil City Deanery, will leave the area in June to return to their respective religious communities for new assignments after nearly two decades of service. In a letter to parishioners, the sisters expressed gratitude for the support and relationships formed across the region while noting the diocese is seeking sisters to continue the ministry.
