The Clarion County Jail has hired David Chambers as its new deputy warden following the resignation of Jarrod Sowa, with the jail inspection board approving the move unanimously on Friday. Chambers, who previously worked as a counselor with CenClear and has experience working inside the county jail, will begin his new role March 23. Trustees’ pay increases were tabled, and the board declined to participate in a proposed pilot program.
