Emlenton man earns top auto technician award

From staff reports

William Hurrelbrink, an Automotive Service Excellence-certified automotive technician from Emlenton, was honored with a national achievement award as the Snap-on/ASE Master Automobile Technician of the Year.

Fifty-three automotive professionals were recognized Nov. 13 at the fall board of governors meeting of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence held at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona.

The ASE annual awards spotlight top scorers on the ASE Certification tests from among the ranks of the approximately quarter million ASE certified professionals nationwide.

Hurrelbrink was given his award by John Wolf, president of Snap-on Business Solutions; Tom Ward, senior vice president of Snap-on Inc. and president of Repair Systems & Information Group; Tom Trisdale, ASE board chairman; and Timothy Zilke, ASE president and chief executive officer.

“Bill, who owns Hurrelbrink Auto Repair LLC in Emlenton, is one of the outstanding ASE certified professionals recognized annually by different segments of the automotive service and repair industry. Each of these elite technicians is presented with an industry-specific award recognizing their achievement,” said Zilke.
