Kids willing to brave the rain find lots of treats and prizes at Easter Egg Cleanups

Despite cold and rainy weather, families gathered at Two Mile Run County Park and Fertigs Community Center in Venango County for the annual Easter Egg Cleanups. At Two Mile Run, about 5,000 eggs were hidden across trails and fields, while Fertigs offered 1,600 eggs around its playground. Smaller turnout meant kids had better chances of winning treats and prizes, including candy, toys, and gift cards. Events included age-grouped hunts, visits from the Easter Bunny, and free hot dog lunches. Despite the damp conditions, the community spirit remained strong, and every egg was found.
