Local fly fishers chapter to offer tying class

The Keystone Fly Fishers, a charter chapter of Fly Fishers International located in Franklin, will offer a “beginner” fly tying class starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18.

The class will be held at the Emerging Technology Center at 191 Howard St. in Franklin.

The class will tie for two hours each Wednesday evening from Jan. 18 through Feb. 8.

All fly tying tools will be available to use (individuals may bring their own tools if available), and all materials will be supplied with individual instruction.

The class will be limited to eight individuals, and anyone age 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult.

All four classes will be provided at a total cost of $40.

The chapter will then offer an intermediate fly tying class beginning Feb. 22 and continuing March 1, 8 and 15.

This class will take fly tying techniques to the next level, and the cost will be $50 for all four classes.
