Plans are underway for a tribute concert at PennWest Clarion honoring longtime music professor and band director Stanley F. Michalski Jr., who passed away in December at 91. The free public concert will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Marwick Boyd Auditorium, with additional events including a dinner and reception. Organized by former student and current director of bands Lisa Hummel, the weekend celebrates Michalski’s more than 60 years of influence in music education, including 31 years at Clarion.
