Northern Pennsylvania Regional College appoints 2 trustees

From staff reports

Kevin Sprong of Titusville and Jennifer Gesing of Bear Lake in Warren County have been appointed to three-year terms on the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College board of trustees.

The trustees meet monthly to advance the mission and vision of the college, which is an open-admission, two-year institution of higher education serving nine counties in northern Pennsylvania.

Sprong is the director of the Crawford County Career and Technical Center. He is a Crawford County native and previously served on the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College’s Advisory Council of Presidents and on the board for the Educational Consortium of the Upper Allegheny.

Sprong has also spent time serving for a collection of other causes throughout the region.

“We continue to see amazing local talent and interest in serving the college’s mission,” Regional College chairperson Kate Brock said. “Our new board members join an already strong collection of leaders that have done some incredible things for (the college).”

The college’s mission is to provide affordable and accessible post-secondary education to the residents of Venango, Forest, Crawford, Cameron, Elk, Erie, McKean, Potter and Warren counties.

The college provides flexible scheduling options at numerous instructional locations.
