Northwest Commission to hold public input meeting

From staff reports

A virtual public workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, via Zoom, to gather public input for the Northwest Pennsylvania Greenways Plan Update.

The Greenways Plan is a multi-county planning effort undertaken by the Northwest Regional Planning and Development Commission (Northwest Commission) on behalf of the counties it serves, which include Erie, Clarion, Crawford, Forest, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties.

The plan will outline priorities to better connect, interact, and/or conserve the region’s natural assets.

For this plan, a greenway has been defined as an open-space corridor which is utilized for human activity and/or conservation purposes.

During the workshop, the public will have an opportunity to provide input that will shape the region’s greenways into the future.
