What is called the 2-1-1 service was launched by the United Way of Venango County in May 2017. It is available 24/7 every day of the year.
2-1-1 information and referral service is the social service equivalent of 9-1-1. People in need of social services can dial 2-1-1 from a landline or cell phone and reach a trained, professional resource navigator, who will listen to the caller’s concerns and provide information on the appropriate and local agency that can assist callers with their needs.
If callers want to conduct their own searches for assistance they can go to the website at www.pa211nw.org. They can also use the chat feature right from the website site to connect with the call center.
Those in need can text their need and zip code to 898-211 to receive information via text.
