Pool season is here across the county

The pool season is beginning this weekend in the region, though showers and cooler temperatures may affect activities. Two Mile Run County Park plans to open its beach on Saturday, contingent on weather, with possible early closure if attendance is low. Admission is $4 per person, with free community beach days sponsored by local nonprofits throughout the summer. The Miller-Sibley pool in Franklin aims to open today, but weather conditions will be closely monitored. Summer pool passes can be used at the YMCA pool if the Miller-Sibley pool closes due to weather. The James A. Nelles Memorial Pool in Oil City is set to open next Saturday, June 15, after replacing a broken pump, with the same hours and prices as last year.
