Fryburg’s traditional drive-in movie night took a creative twist during Mayfest, as attendees had to build their own cars out of cardboard before watching the film. Since Fryburg has no drive-in theater and rain disrupted outdoor plans, the event was moved indoors to the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department. The Remake Learning team provided materials like cardboard, markers, and plenty of tape, while families and children hand-crafted their own “Cardboard Cruisers.” The evening, filled with hands-on fun and imagination, was part of Remake Learning Days—a festival promoting innovative, DIY educational experiences for youth and families, sponsored by Riverview Intermediate Unit 6 and hosted locally by the Fryburg Mayfest Community Association.
