Search for new Titusville city manager begins

Titusville City Council did not publicly discuss City Manager Neil Fratus’s pending resignation during last week’s meeting, though officials confirmed he will leave Sept. 19 to become Edinboro Borough’s manager. A presentation from consulting firm Kafferlin Strategies, which may be hired to assist in the search for a new manager, was postponed due to scheduling conflicts but is expected at a future meeting. Council also addressed a gasoline leak from faulty equipment at the South Perry Street GetGo, considering whether to allow environmental consultants to drill monitoring wells in Scheide Park. While the Planning Commission recommended against the wells, council members signaled support if they are installed within sidewalks to minimize disruption.
