Cranberry High School received astounding results from the 2nd annual volleyball benefit tournament held on April 17th.

The students raised $2,500 for the non-profit organization, Western PA Pullin’ 4 a Purpose. This charity supports local families with children who have life-threatening illnesses.

“We’re extremely grateful for all the help from everyone in the student council and all the generous people that donated. The night was a big success,” says Maria Galetta, senior and president of Senior High Student Council. “It was great and very fun. It was good for people to come together for a good cause and have fun doing it,” says Henry Milford, one of the participants.

Admission was solely by donation, and additional money was raised through a basket raffle/Chinese auction, as well as a concession stand.

Student council members and Pullin’ 4 a Purpose committee members were a significant help in raising funds for this event.

“The overwhelming gratitude from the community towards the non-profit organization, Pullin’ 4 a Purpose, was like no other. The money raised not only benefits the children, but also speaks volumes to the values our school prides itself in,” says Rylee Coe, senior and vice president of Senior High Student Council.
