Tea Party, CLA team up to interview state rep. candidates

The Venango County Tea Party Patriots and members of the Christian Life Academy media team have joined forces to create video interviews of the candidates running for the office of State Representative of the 64th District of Pennsylvania.

Molly Beth Black, an alumni of Christian Life Academy and who graduated with a degree in communications from Penn State Behrend, acted as a media consultant.

Ryan Fair, a junior at Christian Life Academy, participated as cameraman and video editor.

Jane Richey, the local coordinator of the Venango County Tea Party Patriots, served as the interviewer.

Candidates Michael Bagdes-Canning, Green Party; R. Lee James, Republican; and John Kluck, Democrat; were interviewed using the same questions and given the same approximate time to answer.

The interviews are posted for public viewing at www.vctpp.org.

Venango County Tea Party Patriots does not endorse candidates, but rather provides education and information to voters on relevant election races.

Voters are reminded that Oct. 11 is the last day to register to vote before the November election and Nov. 1 is the last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot.

Forms for voter registration and absentee ballots may be obtained at the Venango County Courthouse.
