Tickets available for FLEX Bike ‘n Brew event

From staff reports

Future Leaders and Entrepreneurs Exchange (FLEX), the young professionals group of the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce, is hosting this year’s Oil Heritage Festival Bike ‘n Brew on Saturday, July 16, the weekend before the Oil Heritage Festival.

The event will include both bicycle activities and a beerfest portion.

A biking scavenger hunt will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Attendees will ride their bicycles throughout Oil City to up to 10 points of interest along the trail.

To enter the competition for prizes, participants will take a photo at each spot and submit it.

Maps and instructions for the scavenger hunt can be picked up at the Chamber office at 24 Seneca St. in Oil City at 2 p.m. on the day of the event or online at www.ohfbikenbrew.org.

The beer portion of Bike ‘n Brew will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Chamber, and there are two ways to participate.

The first option, curbside pickup, includes a package of at least eight different craft beers from local breweries in a cooler tote bag, along with merchandise from both breweries and sponsors.

The package can be picked up anytime between 4 and 7 p.m.

The second option includes the first package along with admittance to a tasting with Scierka’s Tavern at the Chamber. The tasting will include craft beers to sample that are not available in the region, and a raffle and other activities will also be included.

More information and tickets can be found at www.ohfbikenbrew.org, by contacting the Chamber at (814) 676-8521 or emailing flex@venangochamber.org.
