After enjoying some chatter and a dinner together, 17 first response agencies were recognized during the Titusville Moose Family Center’s annual emergency responders appreciation night Monday evening.

The Moose center gave first responders a total of $30,000, including $2,000 each for fire departments and EmergyCare and $1,000 each for ambulance services, Jeremy Brandon, the past community service chairman for the Moose center, said.

The departments that received checks were the Titusville fire and police departments, Pleasantville, Cherrytree, Chapmanville and Hydetown fire departments; Centerville, Townville, Bloomfield Township, Spartansburg and Grand Valley fire departments and ambulance services; and EmergyCare.

Eric Henry, who works with Meadville Area Ambulance and is also a Crawford County commissioner, attended the event as a commissioner. The club decided to honor Henry with a check of $1,000 for the Meadville Area Ambulance Service.

Every department also received a Tommy Moose stuffed animal to keep in their vehicles to give to children during stressful situations.
