Valley Grove School Board on Monday hired Jamie Snyder as a secondary special education teacher.
Snyder will move into an opening that had developed due to staff realignment at the beginning of the school year.
She is a graduate of Rocky Grove High School and Slippery Rock University and has been a substitute teacher in the district since the 2017-2018 school year.
In other business at the school board’s work session Monday, members discussed several transportation requests for field trips and teachers’ requests for conferences they will vote on at their regular meeting next Monday.
The board also approved the selling of items that had been successfully auctioned off on Municibid.com.
