Venango County 4-H leaders Angela Knapp and Stephanie Master were recognized at this year’s Pennsylvania Farm Show for outstanding leadership.
Knapp received the Outstanding 4-H Sheep Leader Award, and Master received the Outstanding 4-H Goat Leader Award.
All counties in Pennsylvania are invited to nominate leaders for the four livestock species awards (goat, sheep, beef and swine), so Knapp and Master beat out a number of candidates to earn the honor.
Information submitted to the newspaper said “their dedication to the Venango 4-H program and to their 4-H kids helped them to rise to the top.”
The information also noted that “the judges at the state level were impressed by Knapp and Master’s commitment to their community.”
