The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its Outstanding Citizen Award, which each year is bestowed upon an individual or individuals who consistently provide civic leadership through volunteerism and service to their community.
The nominating committee seeks Venango County citizens who demonstrate a well-rounded and deep-rooted commitment to family and community, according to a chamber news release.
Nominees must be community volunteers with records of extensive and diverse participation in community service and civic involvement, aside from accomplishments directly related to the candidate’s employment.
Those who previously nominated candidates for the Outstanding Citizen Award may renominate a candidate by sending an updated nomination letter, along with a nomination form.
The deadline to submit nominations is Nov. 10.
