Venango County Conservation Hall of Fame seeks nominees

From staff reports

Nominations are now being accepted for 2023 induction into the Venango County Conservation Hall of Fame.

The hall, which honors men and women who have made significant and lasting contributions to conservation and the environment, is a program of the Oil City Chapter, Izaak Walton League of America in partnership with the Venango Campus of PennWest-Clarion.

The intent is to not only honor these men and women, but to ensure they and their work are remembered, and to serve as an inspiration to future generations.

Nominees must be Venango County natives or lived or worked in the county while making contributions to conservation and the environment.

Nominations should include as much biographical and supporting information as possible. Once nominated, an individual remains in the candidate pool for consideration in future years. However, future nominations of the individual serve to support the nominee.

Nominations should be mailed to: CHOF, Oil City Chapter-IWLA, P.O. Box 551, Seneca, Pa. 16346.
