The Rev. Elizabeth Yale, priest in charge of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Franklin, will conduct a candlelight prayer vigil against gun violence at 7 p.m. Friday, March 13, in front of the Venango County Courthouse.
Participants will pray, sing and lament together all the lives that have been affected and dramatically altered by gun violence, Yale said.
“Gun violence affects every community in which it happens,” said Yale. “From the people at the scene – including the officers, first responders and bystanders – to the loved ones of those killed or injured, to the communities in which this violence occurs, gun violence negatively impacts a whole community at a time,” said Yale.
