Cranberry High School’s World Language Club (WLC) is working hard to give our furry fellows a paw in honor of Love Your Pet Day on Feb. 20 and Valentine’s Day. Members and their advisors, Shannon Sturdevant and Lisa Vogus, are encouraging our community and student body to donate to the dogs and cats at the Venango County Humane Society in Seneca and Franklin’s Precious Paws through the club.

The service project will be held Feb. 14-25, 2022. WLC’s advisors will be accepting the donations in rooms 211 and 213 in Cranberry High School.

Accepted items to donate are:

Canned cat food – pâté or chunk/shredded
Purina kitten chow (yellow bag)
Dog and cat toys
Medium or large dog collars
Mini blankets to send home with pets when they leave the shelter

World Language Club member Makayla Struthers, a volunteer at Precious Paws, expressed her thoughts about their service by stating, “I think it’s a great opportunity to help more than just the select few shelters close by. It’s great for animals to get more funds towards care than basic needs.”
